We are seeking a mid-level Data Analyst & IT Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on technical role that blends data analytics, light ETL/data engineering, and customer-facing reporting. You’ll work with large advertising datasets, create SQL/Python scripts to analyze and automate reporting, monitor data pipelines, and support customer-facing insights (including QBRs and integration checks).
You should be comfortable moving between raw data exploration, report automation, and communicating insights to internal stakeholders and occasionally customers.
This is a full-time remote role (ideally contract-to-hire) with compensation in USD.
Key Responsibilities:
-Data Analysis & Reporting
-Write SQL and Python queries to explore and analyze large datasets across ClickHouse and Aerospike.
-Develop and document methodologies for key metrics (uplift, revenue contribution, data enrichment).
-Automate reporting and assist in building import-ready datasets for internal dashboards and QBRs.
-ETL-Light & Data Engineering
Write scripts to transform and join data tables for deeper analysis.
-Monitor data pipelines for consistency and troubleshoot data anomalies (not platform issues).
-Assist in API-based data pulls and integrations when needed.
-Customer-Facing Analytics
Support 25–50% of your time on customer-focused tasks:
-Prepare deep-dive reports and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
-Respond to customer data inquiries via Slack, email, or shared reports.
-Help identify integration issues or data inconsistencies in client environments.
Collaboration
-Work closely with the Head of Product and Lead Engineer on data projects.
-Participate in asynchronous Slack/email communication with occasional video check-ins.
Required Skills & Experience:
-3–5 years in a data analytics or IT engineering role.
-Strong SQL skills and ability to write complex queries across multiple tables.
-Experience with Python (or R) for data analysis and basic automation.
-Comfort with data pipeline monitoring and light ETL tasks.
-Familiarity with API integrations and working with CSV/extracted data files.
-Strong communication skills for internal reporting and external customer correspondence in English.
-Experience with digital advertising data (GAM, SSP/DSP data, ad revenue metrics) strongly preferred.
